Beginning Spinning on a Wheel with Jill Dahle
This class will cover basic spinning and plying using a spinning wheel. Different preparations of wool will be available to spin. We will discuss how to perpare fibers to spin and I will demonstrate handcarding and handcombing . We will also discuss other fibers that are available to spin.
Level: This is a beginning class. No previous experience is needed
Ages: 8+
Materials Fee: $15 for fiber used during class
Options: Rent a spinning wheel for this class
Please Bring: a spinning wheel in good working order. This class is not a wheel maintenance or repair class.

Date/Time: Sat May 7 - 2pm - 5pm
Please arrive at Class Check-In (at the entrance to the Class Building) at least 10 minutes early to receive your Nametag and find your class area.

Instructor Bio
Jill Dahle loves all things fiber. She is an avid spinner, weaver, dyer, knitter and quilter. She belongs to the Wasatch Woolpack Handspinners Guild and is a past president. She has taught knitting and spinning at Blacksheep Wool and Three Wishes Fiber Arts. She has taught beginning spinning classes at Great Basin Fiber Fair for many years.

Please note: after March 31, 2022, we will refund 50% of the class fee, and after April 15, 2022, refunds are no longer available.
Transfers to other classes will be approved on an individual basis.
