You will learn how to weave a basket base, sides, and rim over a market bottom, swing hickory handle. Color and weave effects in basketry will be explored, using reed dyed in natural dye products. Make a 12" x 12" x 12" basket with a 18" high swing hickory handle. You can weave with a demonstrated plaid pattern, or make up your own plaid pattern. Several baskets will be available for inspiration. The basket is finished with a double lashed, flat oval rim.
