Charkha spinning wheels are historically designed to spin short staple fibers, so they are the perfect wheel for spinning all down fibers, such as: camel, yak and cashmere. Come try your hand at spinning these luxurious exotic fibers.
This is an advanced spinning class. Participants need to know how to spin.
Class will be held in Building 1 (Classroom Building)
Classroom area # 5
Saturday May 11 from 9am-noon
Please arrive at Class Check-In (at the entrance to the Class Building) at least 10 minutes early to receive your Nametag and find your class area.
There is nothing to bring. Everything is provided.
The Materials Fee for this class is $30.00 and covers the fibers spun in class, the use of a charkha wheel and a kit to take home to spin and knit a shawlette.
A minimum of 6 students must register for this class to be held.
