Beginning Spinning on a Handspindle with Jill Dahle (Fri PM)
What do you do with that beautiful Handspindle that you have been admiring? This class will get you started. We will cover basic spinning, plying and how to prepare wool for spinning. I will demonstrate wool combing and carding. I will also talk about other fibers that are available for spinning.
A handspindle is provided for use during this class.
Level: This is a beginning class. No previous experience is needed
Ages: 10+
Materials Fee: $15 for fiber used during class
Options: Purchase a handspindle for $15.00
Please Bring: Your own handspindle (optional)
To Do BEFORE Class: nothing

Date/Time: Fri April 25 2pm - 5pm
Please arrive at Class Check-In (at the entrance to the Class Building) at least 10 minutes early to receive your Nametag and find your class area.

Instructor Bio
Jill Dahle loves anything fiber related. She is a weaver, spinner, knitter, dyer, and quilter. Her obsession with yarn began at five years old, when her grandmother taught her to knit and crochet. I have been teaching beginning spinning for over 20 years and enjoy teaching new spinners how to spin.

Please note: Refunds are available until March 31, 2025. After March 31st, we will refund 50% of the class fee, and after April 12, 2025, refunds are no longer available.
Transfers to other classes will be approved on an individual basis.
