Finnegan Hat with Katy Carroll (Fri AM)
The Finnegan Hat makes a great first hat project!  It works up quickly in chunky yarn and simple ribbing.  One large statement cable adds a little extra visual interest - if you’ve never cabled before, you’ll be surprised at how easy it can be!  The pattern will ease you into working with charted instructions, or you can work from printed instructions if you’d prefer. This design is unisex and makes a great gift.  You might end up making more than one!
 
Level: Confident beginner - comfortable with knits and purls
Ages:  8+ (with paid adult)
Materials Fee:  $20; Material fee is part of class cost and includes one skein of Malabrigo Chunky yarn and pattern.
Options:  none
Please Bring: 16” circular needle (US 9 for loose knitters and US 10 for tight knitters), 3 stitch markers, cable needle for chunky yarn. Instructor will bring some of these items for purchase if needed.

Please arrive at Class Check-In (at the entrance to the Class Building) at least 10 minutes early to receive your Nametag and find your class area.

  • Instructor Bio

    Katy Carroll is the co-owner of local yarn shop Petit Fours & Purls in Lehi, UT. She has been designing knitting patterns since 2015 under "Katinka Designs" and currently has over 80 patterns available on Ravelry. She likes green yarn and silk blends, and she believes that cables make any knit better.

    Please note: Refunds are available until March 31, 2025. After March 31st, we will refund 50% of the class fee, and after April 12, 2025, refunds are no longer available.

    Transfers to other classes will be approved on an individual basis.
