Come put your creative flare to work as you make your own reusable journal / sketchbook cover! In the morning we will begin by laying out and wet-felting our base for our journal cover using wool and other embellishments. After lunch, take your cover to the next level by adding needle-felted details and stitching your cover to fit your journal to make it uniquely yours.
Level: No prior wet-felting or needle-felting experience needed.
Ages: Suitable for children ages 10 and older with an adult also taking the class.
Materials Fee (included in class cost): $20. Materials include fiber, embellishments, journals, sewing needles and yarn, towels, all wet-felting materials, and written step-by-step instructions so students can continue to create at home after class.
Options: none
Please Bring: Students should come prepared to get a little wet, be creative, and have fun! They will need to bring felting needles and a felting mat. Students can bring a journal or sketchbook from home if they would like, but it is not required.
Note: Please note that some people work at various speeds when needle-felting. Most students will complete their journal cover in class, however the needle-felting portion can be completed at home for those students requiring additional time. They will have all the tools needed to complete it.
