This solid woven base basket has been woven on a "D" handle that has a dowel rod going across to add floss holders or spools of thread.
After the main basket is finished, three small baskets are sewn into the main basket One is designed to hold an embroidered pincushion, another is to hold a small pair of scissors, and the little one is to hold a thimble. The class consists of weaving the large basket as well as the pincushion basket. The instructor will embroider the pincushion and assemble it as well as weave the two smaller baskets.
